Mercruiser Carburetor

Mercruiser 3.8L I4 overheating?

I have a 1985 Stingray with a Mercruiser inboard engine with a closed cooling system. I used this boat steadily over the last two years of cruising, tubing, and fishing without any problems. Recently, he developed a problem starting when tubes were. My diagnosis has stressed the flooding of the carburetor and I went to the dealership to get a new needle valve for the float. While doing the interview, I also changed the oil. Since then I have been twice and the engine overheats quickly. Coolant level is correct. Also, I'm not convinced the issue of flooding is resolved, but the engine always starts with full speed. Any suggestions for DIY are welcome.

Hi there the cause of the heating may be more likley to have your wheel is slightly worn out or broken into pieces is in the water pump Heres a link to put you in the right direction ..
